Plus de 290 organisations de la société civile des États-Unis d’Amérique et du monde entier ont coordonné une demande au président américain Joe Biden d’agir immédiatement en réponse aux dernières attaques du gouvernement israélien contre la société civile palestinienne.
En résumé, ce qu’elles demandent, c’est qu’Israël soit d’abord sanctionné lorsqu’il pratique la légitime défense, puis qu’il soit suffisamment affaibli pour être détruit.
- Condamner les tactiques répressives du gouvernement israélien et l’escalade de la campagne de criminalisation et d’intimidation contre les organisations de la société civile palestinienne, leur personnel et leur conseil d’administration. [Autrement dit : condamner Israël lorsqu’il riposte aux attaques terroristes et arrête les suspects]
- Rejeter les accusations infondées du gouvernement israélien à l’encontre des organisations de la société civile palestinienne et exiger des autorités israéliennes qu’elles annulent les désignations. [Autrement dit : il n’existe pas d’organisations terroristes, ni de terroristes, ni de terrorisme, seulement des organisations civiles. Israël ment]
- Prendre des mesures diplomatiques, de concert avec leurs homologues européens, afin de protéger les organisations palestiniennes visées, leur personnel et leur conseil d’administration, leurs locaux et autres biens. [Autrement dit : protéger les activités des groupes terroristes]
- S’abstenir d’imposer des obstacles ou des politiques qui empêcheraient un engagement direct entre le gouvernement américain et la société civile palestinienne, ou qui empêcheraient une compréhension publique complète de la gravité et des impacts de la répression israélienne. [?]
- Mettre fin aux efforts des États-Unis pour saper le droit des Palestiniens et des organisations de la société civile palestinienne à poursuivre la justice et la responsabilité, y compris devant la Cour pénale internationale. [Autrement dit : modifier le droit international]
- S’assurer qu’aucune action n’est prise au niveau fédéral qui entrave de quelque manière que ce soit le financement des organisations basées aux Etats-Unis ou des individus aux organisations palestiniennes ciblées. [Autrement dit : annuler la loi Taylor qui interdit de financer le terrorisme qui tue des Américains] et
- Suspendre le financement militaire américain au gouvernement israélien et cesser tout effort diplomatique qui permet l’impunité systémique pour les violations flagrantes des droits de l’homme internationalement reconnus commises par Israël. [Autrement dit : désarmer Israël afin qu’il puisse être détruit]
